Finally some rain!

I know, who wishes for rain, right?  Well when you live in a forest, and it's super dry and fires starting everywhere, you wish for rain!!!!  Today there is some gorgeous drops falling from the sky and I hope it helps to get some moisture in the ground so they can cancel the fire ban....

I played along with the Scraplift Sunday at Paper Issues this past week, and I'm really happy with the result.  I used my Bella Blvd Color Chaos (seriously I didn't buy tons of this but it seems to be stretching pretty far! LOL!) along with some other sticker alphas.  The design was awesome and I stuck to it pretty close.

And my lift!

Can't wait for next weeks, scraplift inspiration is awesome!!!!

Magic of the Mouse!

Hello everyone!  Thought I would pop in and put up a few more Disney layouts I've gotten done in the last little while....  So many pictures to choose from, and I know I won't be scrapbooking them ALL, but it's been fun picking and choosing which ones to use!!

This was done using October Afternoon's new Treasure Map line, super awesome papers that I had fun with, but had a hard time cutting into a few of them like the stars.... I only got one sheet of each, big mistake! LOL!  This was where we stayed, the Little Mermaid rooms at the Art of Animation, and it was so awesome aside from the long walk to and from the main building.....

The next 2 I dipped back into Simple Stories Say Cheese collections, I'm finding that it's harder than I thought to match these papers to the actual photos I took because I honestly don't have a lot of deep red, etc. in the pictures.  And, well, I'm kinda ocd about that kinda stuff. lol

Who doesn't love a spin on the magic teacups??

I loved running across this picture on one of the retaining walls from the construction.  And Makenna just so happened to be wearing her 'Off with their Heads' tshirt this day!!  Perfect photo op!!

Heading into another weekend, hopefully full of some rest and relaxation along with some yardwork and all that fun stuff.  Have a great one with your friends and family!!!

Happy Long Weekend

Well, to those that celebrate Victoria Day with me in Canada! :)  I am really enjoying an extra extra long weekend as I took Friday and Tuesday off as well!  My mom had surgery on Friday and will be gone for a few weeks, and my dad is in Mexico, and the daycare is full.... so I just took the days off that Darcy is working, fine by me! :)

I got a little scrappy this weekend, and also started trying to reorganize my scrap space as I bought a few new baskets.... only the baskets are twice as big as I thought they were going to be, so I'm not quite sure what to put in them! LOL!  That is deterring me from scrapping any more today because I can't even see my desk, so we'll see how determined I get to finish.

I put this layout together using Pink Paislee's Atlas line, I really wish I had purchased more papers, and embellishments to go with them, but I'm still happy with how it came out.  Nice and simple, and the colors were a perfect match for this picture I snapped in the Orlando airport on our way home from Disney.

I honestly can't remember if I shared this layout on here yet. lol  My littlest guy plays with his hair all of the time when he's tired, and this day he started playing with mine instead while watching tv.  I used Crate Papers Craft Market for the layout, nice soft colors with a little bit of an urban feel....  If you have seen it before on my blog, my apologies for having a bit of air in my brain. lol

I have a few new Disney layouts to share as well, and I'll be back later on in this coming week to do so!!

It's HUMP DAY!

Happy Hump Day Everyone!  I feel like everyday is a hump day, but sometimes it's nice to know the week is halfway over.

We've been dealing with a few issues as of late in my house, and doesn't look like things will ease up in the next little while.... so on we go and I'll hopefully be able to maintain some scrappy time in my schedule!  My bf was a victim of banking fraud, and our mechanics are officially on strike which is causing a whole bunch of headaches and unease around town.... the union that my bf belongs to (there are 6 or 7 at this mine) votes in a few weeks as to whether they will strike as well.  I hope with all my being that they do not.  It will be devastating to this entire town if they do....

Soccer has started for the first time ever, there are a lot of kids signed up, and somehow I said I would help coach a sport that I have no knowledge of WHATSOEVER. LOL!!!  At least I have the older kids that already know how to play, I just need to research the rules, etc., a bit so I know what they are doing. ;)

I have been able to get scrappy a few times over the last week or so.  NSD was kind of a bust, but managed to do 2 challenges from 2 different sites.

First off was from Love is in the Details , a challenge from Norine!  She had a list of 10 different items and we had to incorporate at least 3 of these items on our layout.  I think I managed to add in 6 or 7 of them!  It's always a challenge for me to put on more than one or two photos, so I'm pretty happy I threw 3 of them on this page. LOL!  Me and my Kenna at Animal Kingdom, such great memories. :)

This next layout was for Sketchy Saturday on the Paper Issues Blog, which wasn't technically FOR NSD but happened to coincide with it nicely.  We were provided with a sketch from Nicole Nowosad, and I used my new Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy papers to make this picture of my daughter in her pink princess Mickey ears pop!!  It's a great line, so happy I picked some up!

Hope you all enjoy your day, and find some time to do what makes you happy!
