Some Everyday Moments

When CHA rolls around, there's soooo much that catches my eye. But it never fails, that one or two lines will absolutely call out to me.....

Teresa Collins 'Everday Moments' was one of those lines. The stories it told just by looking at the stickers and other embellishments, I just knew I needed them for some select projects.

Lori let me know as SOON as it was in the LIITD store (found HERE) and she shipped it up to me to work with for the month of March. So far I have 3 layouts and a mini album completed, and I'm sad to say that I am almost out of papers..... LOL!

This line is gorgeous. Not sure what else to call it. The papers are so thick and rich, beautiful texture, amazing colors.... I'm in lovvvvvvvve.

Here are 2 of the layouts that I completed and uploaded... the others I will be able to show you further on in the month. ;) Please, do yourself a favor, and run out and buy this collection. You will be glad that you did.

My sweet Brayden, a few weeks old.... I used a massive ribbon that I found in Tayla's room, it was originally wrapped around a blanket that she got for Christmas. I couldn't help but steal it, and use it on this layout.

Jackson is FINALLY comfortable in front of the camera, so I love sitting and taking pictures of him when he lets me.... I used a ribbon that I got on a RAK recently, another repurposing idea! LOL! The papers are perfect for boy layouts.... and next time I'll show you how they work for girls too ;)

I hope you all have a fantastic week!!

Happy Friday!

I don't make a ton of mini albums, but the ones I do make, I have a blast with. I used Simple Stories 100 Days of Summer for this one, and some old pictures of my kiddos from the beach (pre-Brayden so he's missing LOL)

Just to see you smile....

I did pictures for a friend of mine last month, and had them developed for her and got a few extras for myself as well... she had THE most amazing blue eyes... they don't show that well in this photo that I scrapped today, but just look at them in the other one!!

Such a sweetheart she is....

Little more weekend fun!

I had myself a 'lazy' weekend. As lazy as a household of 6 people will allow, anyways! Which means, more time at the scrap table!!

This first layout was a breakout of something I have had in my stash for a little while that was UNopened. *gasp* Cosmo Cricket 'Pixie-licious' is a super cute line, tres sweet for little girls!
The sweetheart in the photo isn't mine, but the youngest of one of my friends...

This handsome dude IS mine, and I am super proud.... so sweet and sensitive, I am so proud of the amazing young man he is becoming! Love you Jackson!
I broke out some oldie Basic Grey 'Jovial' for this one....

Tomorrow is Monday.... and anyone who knows me, knows that I love Mondays.
I adore my children, I truly do.
But I also love Mondays. ;)

Tired of the snow.....

We have had a lot of snow this winter, and I'm sure we'll be getting hit again before spring comes along! Sometimes it's nice to break out the summer papers and pictures, and transport yourself to the sunny beach... imagining the sand between your toes... ahhhh....

100 Days of Summer from Simple Stories was my destination, and what a tropical mental vacation it was...

Can't you feel the breeze, the warm sun.... heavenly.

Hope you all take some time to get creative this weekend!
Memories in your head are wonderful, but putting them on paper with pictures is the best thing you can do!!

Was I up for the challenge??

So Lori, in her infinite wisdom.... decided to issue me a challenge. Take some super busy papers, flip them over, and use the other sides. Easy enough? Well, I thought it would be super easy but I admit it was tough! But, I do love the layouts that I finished up. :) Thank you Lori for making me think beyond the normal 'same line, same colors, etc.' that I sometimes get stuck in. ;)

Here are the layouts I made and the papers I worked with!!

The original papers...

The 'back sides'

My layouts!

Lesson to be learned? When shopping for papers, don't overlook the double sided papers that might seem too busy or just not your thing. The other side might be just exactly what you are searching for.....
Come on, everyone...
break on through to the other side...
:)

Layout #4 has been picked up by Canadian Scrapbooker magazine for it's June 2012 issue!! I am especially happy because it's one of MY personal favorites..... and it's not even of any of my children! LOL! I used some pictures of a friends little girl.... such a cutie pie.... :) YAY!!!
