Happy Hump Day Everyone! I feel like everyday is a hump day, but sometimes it's nice to know the week is halfway over.
We've been dealing with a few issues as of late in my house, and doesn't look like things will ease up in the next little while.... so on we go and I'll hopefully be able to maintain some scrappy time in my schedule! My bf was a victim of banking fraud, and our mechanics are officially on strike which is causing a whole bunch of headaches and unease around town.... the union that my bf belongs to (there are 6 or 7 at this mine) votes in a few weeks as to whether they will strike as well. I hope with all my being that they do not. It will be devastating to this entire town if they do....
Soccer has started for the first time ever, there are a lot of kids signed up, and somehow I said I would help coach a sport that I have no knowledge of WHATSOEVER. LOL!!! At least I have the older kids that already know how to play, I just need to research the rules, etc., a bit so I know what they are doing. ;)
I have been able to get scrappy a few times over the last week or so. NSD was kind of a bust, but managed to do 2 challenges from 2 different sites.
First off was from
Love is in the Details , a challenge from
Norine! She had a list of 10 different items and we had to incorporate at least 3 of these items on our layout. I think I managed to add in 6 or 7 of them! It's always a challenge for me to put on more than one or two photos, so I'm pretty happy I threw 3 of them on this page. LOL! Me and my Kenna at Animal Kingdom, such great memories. :)
This next layout was for
Sketchy Saturday on the Paper Issues Blog, which wasn't technically FOR NSD but happened to coincide with it nicely. We were provided with a sketch from Nicole Nowosad, and I used my new
Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy papers to make this picture of my daughter in her pink princess Mickey ears pop!! It's a great line, so happy I picked some up!
Hope you all enjoy your day, and find some time to do what makes you happy!
